Last night I made a fairly innocuous post on Twitter about women who walk or run alone. Why? Because I know they're out there. But have a search on Google and find them you will not.
The response has been phenomenal.
Thanks to the hive mind of Twitter, there's now a list of about 100 women who walk or run solo. I've pulled out a couple, but in the end I just got overwhelmed with notifications!
The link is below so you can have a look yourself.
So, welcome to the on-foot solo edition of the Adventure Bulletin...!
Karen Penny is on a continuous walk around 19,000 miles of the British and Irish Coastline, and 20 of the largest islands. Here's her blog: https://karenpennythepennyrollson.home.blog/
Lizzie Wake has blogged about walking around Wales. Here's part 5 of her story.
Louise Johnstone is going to run the North Sea Cycle Route in 2020. If you'd like to walk/run/cycle with her or know a group that would like a talk along the way, get in touch: https://www.facebook.com/louisejohnstoneOCR/
And, I was going to try to dissect this further, but I've been completely overwhelmed by the responses! For 100 women who walk alone and counting, check out the responses to this tweet.
