Winter Beaches, Coastal Runs and Swimming

Hi !

Hope you had a lovely weekend. I had a completely eye-opening experience.

I went to the BEACH in WINTER.

Don't all laugh at once ;)

The forecast was dire. There was torrential rain on the drive up to the North Cornish coast. I was expecting a write off.

But on Saturday I was still in the water as the sun was setting - gorgeous peach coloured sky behind storm clouds. It had been raining - but who cares if you're already wet in the water?!

Guess I'd never considered how much fun you can have in the sea in November. All you need is a wetsuit... and there's no chance of getting sunburnt!

How have I lived this close to the coast most of my life and never done this before?

Takeaway: It's always worth giving new things a go, even if you have low expectations. You'll never know if you don't try :)
