But, if you get a quiet moment to reflect, what was one adventurous highlight of your year?

It doesn’t have to be the Most or the Best, just One Good Thing.

I’ll start: I climbed Snowdon before breakfast with two friends, on a trip when we were meant to explicitly be doing everything but Snowdon (long story). Pretty grim getting up at 3am, but worth it for running down the mountain and odd looks from the people climbing up (we were not dressed for running!)

We’re still pretty small (share to help our voice get bigger) but we’re all about finding solutions and being the change we want to see - regardless of if we’re 1 person or 10,000.

So what do you wish was different? What changes would you love to see? The more specific the better.

We’ll start:

  • pockets you can fit something useful in

  • equal selection of men’s and women’s hiking shoes

But don’t feel you have to restrict yourself to gear.

They have a list of Women in Adventure books on UK Bookshop. They kindly added my book to it, but said they like to keep it to a list of just 10 books, to be more manageable.

Well people, there are certainly far far more than 10 books that should be on that list!

Tell us which adventure books you’ve enjoyed with female authors or main characters. We’re thinking mainly narrative non-fiction here, but if will accept other genres if it’s so good you can’t resist!

And as ever, SELF PROMOTION ENCOURAGED. You put so much effort into that book, you should absolutely be telling people about it! Including links if you like :)

  3. Has an outdoor adventure-y theme and a female host
